Our Approach
Strengthening the science advising ecosystem through strategic advising, flexible support, and innovative partnerships. Our services are responsive to needs of state-level fellowship programs.
Ecosystem Development: Expanding the Map
We are dedicated to systematizing local democracy by identifying and filling the gaps in state-level scientific capacity. Our recruitment efforts focus on states that lack existing advisory frameworks.
Relationship Development: We cultivate connections in states without scientific advising connected to their state government, with a particular focus on places where structural or geographic barriers have historically limited the flow of scientific knowledge.
Guiding New Programs: We mentor local teams through navigating the complexities of stakeholder mapping, state ethics, and unexpected barriers.
Local Partnerships: We encourage collaboration between universities, community leaders, and legislative members and staff to ensure programs are co-designed for each region’s unique political context.
